| A. Yes, Access Lifts has a Minnesota provider number and is able to bill MA direct. |

| Q. What permits are required for installing lifts? |
| A. Minnesota requires state elevator and electrical permits on all lifts....residential and commercial. A local building permit is required for any additional construction work or remodeling. |
| STAIR LIFT QUESTIONS: |
| Q. Can a stair lift be installed in a church or a school? |
| A. The state of Minnesota does not allow stair lifts in commercial buildings. Churches and schools often choose to provide accessibility with a wheelchair lift or an elevator. |
| Q. Can a stair lift be installed in a group home? |
| A. Yes, if it is licensed to care for 6 or less people. Any home licensed to care for over 6 people is considered commercial and must comply with the commercial codes. |
